If You Love Me, You Must Truly Show Me

If you love me, you must truly show me

Proveth to thee, your absolute only

Lasso the Sun through the darkness and rain

Colour the Moon with a sepia grain

Throw away the scroll that keepeth the score

These ways are for judges, not good for our core

That of which justifies tallies and breast

Taints our certes, like a devious guest

Keep my secrets that I’ve whispered to ear

Then let them all free… they’re of ego and fear

Bringeth the reason to logic and queer

Those are the things I will value to hear

Show me bravado of a conscious kind

Considered muchness I surely don’t mind

I am too sensitive that may be true

Emotional souls add passionate hues

Stand beside me when the sky might fall down

Utter my good to the cynics in town

Gently take my hand and hold it with care

No mind to the palm, it doesn’t play fair

Walk me through valleys and shadows of doubt

Show me your gallantry, hero and clout

And should I linger, don’t leave me behind

Such thoughts of thee, shan’t enter the mind

And when it’s time for our lives to conclude

I’ll cherish the proof of all that I’ve viewed

No doubt above you’ll have proveth to thee

And loved me truly, my one and only
